Magellan's Advanced Materials and Energy Systems (AMES) business unit is focused towards the development and application of innovative methods for advanced manufacturing, repair and re-manufacturing of gas turbine engine components, and the development of space technology. The AMES business unit has the capability to carry out research and development in the areas of advanced materials and processing, protective coatings, instrumentation, materials/ component testing for repair and life extension of gas turbine engine and space application components. Alternate fuels are also being evaluated in different gas turbine engines for potential future use.
